Warm congratulations to Lindsay Stern and Nasrin Olla, co-recipients of the 2023 Ralph Cohen Prize from New Literary History. Nasrin Olla, Assistant Professor of English and African American & African Studies at the University of Virginia, was recognized for her essay “The Exhausted: Fred Moten’s Poetics.” Lindsay Stern, a doctoral candidate in Comparative Literature at Yale University, was recognized for her essay “In Praise of Socks: The ‘Poetic’ in Wittgenstein.” The essays will be published next year in forthcoming issues of New Literary History.
Named for the founding editor of New Literary History, the annual Ralph Cohen Prize recognizes distinguished work by early career scholars in literary and cultural studies. Eligibility requirements and the call for submissions can be found on the NLH website.
